Miss S’s Mouse and Donut Cake Smash Photos :: Malden MA Photographer
Miss S and her family came from nearby Malden to celebrate her first birthday with cake smash photos. I had photographed her for her Newborn Photos previously. And I also photographed big sister Miss M for her newborn and cake smash photos. I love when parents come back to me for their second (or more!) kiddos. I am always so, so honored and grateful that they trust me with these milestones. Plus it’s always great to see the babies I photographed before turn into big siblings. In this case, Miss M was such a sweet big sister. Miss M was 4.5 years old during these photos. This meant she was a big help with her baby sister. She held her hand as she stood. She held her in her lap. And she gave me the greatest smiles during the family photos. Big siblings are the best!

Incorporating Animals In Your Photos
In this session there was not one, but TWO animals included. For the cake smash portion of the session Miss S wore the cutest mouse outfit. Which was complete with tutu. The color scheme of the cake smash set design matched the gray and pink of the tutu. Light pink and very light gray balloons hung on the rustic white wood backdrop. Twinkle lights added a little magic. But besides that, the set design for these Malden cake smash photos was super simple. Her cake was an adorable giant donut which I absolutely love. Big sister also had a relatively simple set design for her cake smash, but hers was pink and gold. I love that the pink carries through both sessions while each girl still has a very distinct session.
But like I said, there are two animals in this session. And the other one is sweet as can BEE. I love the little bumble bee outfit Miss S wore for some of her solo portraits. Bees have become very popular lately, and I am loving that. Save the bees!
