Mama-to-be A’s Dramatic and Glamorous Pregnancy Photos :: Boston Photographer

I don’t choose favorites–not sessions or even session types. That being said, I do have a definite soft spot for maternity portraits! Pregnancy is such an exciting time, and I love helping expecting parents celebrate with photos. These Boston pregnancy photos are full of so much drama and glam, I am a little bit obsessed with them. From the gray floral backdrop, to the stunning flow of the maternity gown, to some beautiful silhouettes. This maternity session has a little bit of everything.

One of my favorite things about this session is how perfectly it balances drama with simplicity. Mama is wearing a few different maternity gowns that I have available in my studio. But for the most part the styling is super simple. There aren’t a ton of props or accessories. Instead that beautiful belly is able to be the star of the show. In my pre-session questionnaire mom had a ton of great ideas and certain things she wanted during her Boston maternity session. This isn’t always the case (and definitely isn’t necessary!). But the great thing about these questionnaires is that I am able to get what clients want. For these pregnancy photos, mom wanted the focus to be on that belly, including having photos where she and dad are interacting with the belly. You can see how happy and excited they are to welcome their new arrival!
