Miss K’s 13 Day Old Baby Photos :: Wilmington MA Photographer

When parents contact me about newborn photos, I always tell them that the ideal age for newborn portraits is between 6-16 days. That might seem like a really specific (and perhaps random) range. But the truth is every day your little one really is growing and evolving. Which is great! Except it does also make them more alert, which can make it more difficult to get those iconic sleeping baby shots. Of course that doesn’t mean it’s not possible to get newborn photos after 16 days (that age range is more of a ballpark idea of how old baby should be). Miss K was 13 days old when she came to the studio from Wilmington for her baby photos. She was sweet and sleepy and let me get some of my favorite iconic newborn poses. She spent some of her session swaddled and cozy. And the rest was spent free and in her birthday suit. I keep my studio toasty warm so that newborns and parents alike can stay comfortable no matter what. This also helps babies stay calm and sleepy.
I had previously photographed mama and daddy for mom’s maternity photos. And this session was STUNNING. Check it out here: Outdoor Pregnancy Pictures.
