Boston Fall Beach Photos :: MA Family Photographer
Ahh, the beach. I’ve got to say, one of the greatest things about living north of Boston is the easy access to beautiful beaches. Because there is just something about beach family photos. These mini sessions were during the month of September which is actually the perfect time for outdoor beach photos. It’s still warm enough to hang out by the ocean. But we managed to miss the super hot days (like the kind of days we’ve been having recently!). Another good thing about the beach in September? Way less crowds! If you’re thinking about getting some beach family photos north of Boston, I highly recommend going in the fall!

Styling Ideas for Beach Family Pictures
Obviously the best thing about beach photos is that you have a stunning backdrop. This can, however, make it a bit trickier when thinking about what to wear. But the good news is, I am here to help! And all three of the families in this post did a fantastic job of styling their photos. The first family went super classic with shades of white, blue and gray. To be completely honest this is a color palette that works for basically any session. I love that big brother’s light blue shirt is both clean and classic but also manages to be a pop of color with the rest of the family. Mom’s darker gray shirt and dad’s stark white shirt create a perfect balance when compared to both little ladies and their white and light gray outfits.
If you’re looking for a little more color, the second family is another great inspiration. Mom’s floral dress is beautiful and perfect for the beach. And I love that it has little pops of green but mostly contains contrasting colors. Dad’s shirt is a shade darker than the dresses both little girls which is a nice contrast as well. All together it’s a cohesive look without being too matchy.
