Baby J’s First Birthday Photos by a Peabody area Photographer
Mr J came to my studio from nearby Peabody MA with his family so I could help them celebrate his first birthday with cake smash portraits. Celebrations like this one are one of the most rewarding aspects of my job as a Peabody area photographer. I love getting to meet sweet families like this one.
To begin, I made sure to get some family portraits of the whole family. This is usually my starting point with any session. One of the main reasons I do this is to make sure that everyone is comfortable with me, my assistant, and my studio. Not only is it important for mom and dad to be relaxed, but it’s super important for baby to be relaxed. A good way to make sure this happens is to have them stay in mom’s or dad’s arms in the beginning. But then, it was all about Mr. J! One reason I love getting to be a Peabody area photographer is getting to capture sweet moments like the ones below.
That first portrait above of Mr. J staring into the camera is one of my absolute favorites. Those big eyes, that perfect little curl in his hair. Stunning!
First Birthday Cake Smash Photo Inspiration
The first birthday is the last major milestone from the first year of your baby’s life. And it is DEFINITELY one to celebrate! And what better way to celebrate it than with cake?! Cake smash sessions are some of the most fun sessions we have in the studio. They’re also one of my favorite sessions to photograph as a Peabody area photographer. For this session, mama wanted to keep it classic. In this case that meant shades of blue, balloons, a bunting, and of course: a bow tie! For a bow tie of your very own, shop here: Janie and Jack.
