Mr. A’s Newborn Baby Portraits :: Waltham Newborn Photographer
This sweet family of four came to my Andover MA studio for Mr. A’s newborn photos. Being a Waltham-area newborn photographer is hands down the best job there is. I get to meet amazing families, cuddle adorable babies, and help families capture these precious memories. There is nothing I would rather do with my time! There is something extra special about getting to see “my” babies grow up and become big siblings. I am always so thrilled, not to mention grateful, that I am trusted to continue to capture these sweet memories for families!
What To Do When Your Newborn Is Awake During Portraits
As a newborn photographer, plus as a mother, I know that sometimes newborns just really do not want to sleep. Over the years I have learned quite a few tricks to make babies fall asleep. I keep the studio at a very warm and toasty temperature, the lights down low, and I always have my handy dandy Baby Shusher going for the perfect white noise. But the truth of the matter is sometimes babies just don’t want to sleep. We take breaks for feeding, make sure diapers (if they’re wearing one) are dry. But sometimes it doesn’t happen, whether it’s because gas, hunger, or maybe they’re just not sleepy. However, I am still able to get plenty of really great portraits even when baby is awake. Some poses, like the tushy in the air or the ever popular frog pose aren’t possible when baby is awake. But any swaddled shot you see below is definitely possible even when baby is wide awake. Plus–you get photos of your newborn’s eyes! This is definitely not always possible.
