Miss M is one! I love first birthdays. The fun and excitement. The joy of watching your little one change and learn every day. And of course–the cake. Cake smash sessions are always some of our favorites in the studio. They are also definitely one of the favorites for clients and fans as well. And today’s cake smash is sure to be a crowd favorite. Miss M came to my studio from nearby Melrose to celebrate her first birthday with a sweet and simple (but still stunning) cake smash session.

Creating the Perfect Boho Cake Smash

I adore every single thing about this session. The simple hoops decorated with leaves. The pink cake covered in flowers. The sweet and dainty flower crown. And of course adorable Miss M. This cake smash session is a great example of how you can have a beautiful and aesthetically pleasing on-trend cake smash without having to go too over the top. Of course I love an over-the-top themed cake smash. But every so often it’s nice to keep things a little more simple.
