Melrose 6 Month Photo Session :: Miss H
This family from Melrose came to the studio almost a year ago for Miss H’s baby photos. At 5.5 months old, Miss H was on the younger side of a sitter session. Typically these sessions take place between 6-9 months when baby is able to sit on their own. We used a few props to make sure that Miss H was comfortable sitting up, but we did get one of her sitting on her own, too. This fun session wasn’t my first time photographing this sweet family. I had already taken Miss H’s newborn photos, and I had even photographed her big sister E! They were back in the studio playing with bunnies this past Easter and then again for Miss H’s first birthday cake smash session. I love when I get to see these families again and again!

Styling Inspiration for Baby Portraits
Since these photos were taken during the end of October, we were able to take advantage of not just one season but two. The cream sweaters and burnt orange bows that Miss H and Miss E are wearing are absolutely perfect for fall. The soft knit texture adds the perfect amount of visual interest, and the use of plaid is a classic choice for autumn. But, since it was almost winter, we also made sure we took some holiday photos!
Nothing says Christmas like red crushed velvet and white fur. These two little ladies would fit in perfectly in the North Pole with these dresses! Add some “snow covered” trees behind them and it’s picture perfect for Christmas. I love every shot from this session, but there’s something extra adorable about the last photo down below.
