I met up with this sweet Andover family for Miss B’s cake smash photos. First birthdays are such a big, exciting and most of all, fun milestone. Which is why I love getting to be a part of it as an Andover area baby photographer! As always, I start the session with some non smash portraits and some family shots, before we get down to business: CAKE!

About this Andover Cake Smash Session
Miss B had a truly magical unicorn cake smash. This is seriously becoming one of my favorite themes. I think Miss B was psyched about it too! It is so much fun and cake smash sessions are all about fun. Plus, it gives so many options for a backdrop. In this case, I went with rainbow streamers. These streamers matched the rainbow cake, and Miss B’s adorable rainbow tutu perfectly. A touch of glitter and gold adds just an extra level of special for Miss B’s birthday celebration. Fun and colorful props and decorations add so much to a session. I have amassed quite the collection over my years as a cake smash photographer. However for something extra special for your child’s first birthday celebration, I always recommend starting with Etsy!
