First Year Baby Portraits and Cake Smash :: Chelmsford

This little guy came to my studio from Chelmsford to celebrate his first birthday with cake smash photos. There is no better way to celebrate your first birthday than by dressing up like a lumberjack and smashing some cake! I loved Mama’s theme idea of lumberjack. And the theme lent itself perfectly to my rustic dark wood background. I also happen to have a veritable forest of fake trees, pine cones and lanterns at the ready! This cake smash and set was perfectly in line with my personal style. But what does a 1 year old really care about that? Not much! However, I’d say baby L was pretty psyched about the cake and hilariously went at it!

I’ve been photographing this Chelmsford family’s portraits for a couple of years now, starting with big sister’s newborn portraits. My head is spinning thinking about it because today I’m sharing portraits from younger brother’s first year birthday session! Time flies. I know this family is so happy to have these portraits to look back on the stages of their two kids during the first year, and beyond. Happy birthday!
