Wingaersheek Beach is absolutely beautiful, especially in the fall. I don’t think I had ever been there. I was, however, totally up to try it as a location for family portraits for this very special family. I’d photographed the family a year previous at a fun outdoor location in Medford. I also met them for some Santa and Easter Bunny photos later in the year. This year they wanted to capture two special things. First, they wanted to capture Grandpa with the family, because he lives overseas. Second, they wanted to capture baby L’s second birthday.
So we met up on two different occasions and locations to make that happen. First was Wingaersheek Beach. There is so much to play with while photographing on the beach of an ocean. So many textures and backgrounds. I loved the big rocks to climb or sit on. Some of my favorite family portraits from this session are of the family sitting on a rock surrounded by water.
Second, we met up a local park for some cake smash fun for Baby L’s 2nd birthday! Mama wanted a bubble theme so we grabbed a few shots of baby L in a tin bathtub, then let him go to town on a cake! I’d say he liked it 😉
