Southern New Hampshire Outdoor Family Photos
One of my favorite things about fall (and there are so many things to choose from!) is the clothing. Sweaters, boots, deep fall colors. And there is something so adorable about these two little guys in their cardigans. It can be tricky deciding what to wear for family portraits, but all of the families below did a perfect job.
First up is the issue of dressing appropriately for the weather, no one wants to be chilly or too hot. This is where layering comes into play. Another issue to keep in mind is the colorful and natural backdrop. Nature makes for a gorgeous background, but it can also be tricky to deal with. You want to make sure you stand out from the background, but you also don’t want to clash. My advice is to embrace the colors of the season. Neutrals are always a great choice. Shades of cream, brown, and navy blue are the perfect choices, and pops of oranges, yellows, and reds create just the right amount of contrast.
Being outside also means being able to have fun and run around a bit! Being outside is always fun, even for the very little ones. I mean, just check out the smile on these kids!
Fall Mini Sessions
I love being able to take advantage of the beautiful fall weather, and the best way to do this is with mini sessions. Mini sessions are only 15-20 minutes, but don’t worry, we’re able to accomplish a lot in that time! Plus, this is a perfect amount of time for busy families, or little ones who don’t want to sit still for too long. And since we’re outside, there’s plenty of space to run around!
