Formal Family Pictures Andover, MA
This family came to visit me at my studio in Andover for their formal family pictures. They were a super nice family, and I was so glad I got to take these photos for them. Dad wasn’t entirely thrilled about being there, but I think by the end I won him over! Not everyone loves getting their photos taken, which I totally get. My priority is always making sure that everyone is happy and comfortable.
The kids were so sweet and they absolutely rocked their portraits. I tend to work more with babies and littles, so it was a nice change of pace to work with some slightly older kids. This session is a great reminder that family portraits definitely shouldn’t stop as the kids grow older!
Formal Styling for these Andover Family Portraits
The family went super classy for their family photos, and I love the way they all look together. How handsome does little man look in his suit? This session is a great example of how to look classy and elegant, while still looking comfortable. Mom is an absolute stunner in her gown, and both daughters look beautiful in their dresses.
One of my favorite things about the styling in this session is how the littlest daughter has a dress with a patterned skirt. It’s still black and white, keeping with the color scheme, but it adds interest to all of the group shots. This is a great way to keep with a theme and still having a little fun with it.
As far as styling goes, it can seem like a daunting task. But I’m here to tell you it definitely does not have to be! After Your Session
After your family portrait session, you will have some decisions to make about your photos. Would you like to display them on your walls? This is definitely one of the most popular choices for your artwork. But it’s not the only one. You can also consider a custom fine art album, framed desk art, and more. One of the things I hear most from clients regarding wall art is that they’re not sure what will look best on their walls. And I completely understand, which is why I work with you to make sure you’re receiving artwork you will love. This includes creating mock-ups of your walls using your photos. You send me a photo of your wall, I create a mock-up. Here’s an example of one below.
