Family Photography North Shore MA :: Outdoor Family Portraits
I met up with this family of four for some outdoor family portraits in North Shore MA last fall. I love my studio but I do love having the ability to meet up with families outside and getting some fresh air! The natural backdrop adds so much color, light and beauty. Fall is such a great time, even when the typical fall foliage isn’t in full bloom yet. The fallen leaves add such a great subtle touch. Thanks mama nature!
This family was so sweet and fun to photograph. I had met them once before when big sis was just a baby. The photo down below with double kisses might be my favorite. Or maybe my favorite is the two siblings playing on the blanket. Or it could be the collage of photos down at the bottom. Clearly I can’t decide, so I’ll just let you decide what your favorite is!
What To Wear For A North Shore Family Photo Session
One of the questions I am asked most frequently is about what to wear, especially for family photo sessions. And over the years I’ve come up with many tips for parents. This family photo session is a perfect example of how to coordinate outfits for portraits. I love how the kids match, even down to their shoes, without being too matchy in the same exact outfit. And even mom and dad got in on the blues action. Each member of the family is wearing their own outfits, but they all coordinate so well. This color scheme is a great one, especially for outdoor photos. Since the backdrop in outdoor photos is so colorful and lively, neutral colors work great. And different shades of denim and navy are perfect neutral colors.
For classic children’s clothing, I recommend Boden, Hope and Henry or Primary.
