I love family photography! As a family photographer in Andover, MA, I truly believe that portraits are the perfect way to celebrate your wonderful and unique family. These photographs become more cherished over time—as the babies grow into children, then teenagers, and before you know it, they’re heading off to college!
Since 2009, I’ve worked with families from all over the North Shore of Massachusetts, Southern New Hampshire, Boston, and beyond. I have years of experience working with all ages and stages, which is extremely important when photographing (juggling!) family portrait sessions. My photography style is clean, whimsical, and focused on capturing fleeting moments and authentic family connections.
Where I Photograph Family Portraits
My cozy photography studio in Andover, MA is just north of Boston and serves families from nearby towns throughout the North Shore, including Reading, North Andover, Methuen, and the greater Boston area. I also frequently work with families from Essex County and Southern New Hampshire.
In addition to studio sessions, I also offer outdoor family photography in local parks, beaches, and sometimes even at clients’ homes. The location we choose depends on your personal style, comfort, and of course, the season!
What is The Best Season for Family Photos?
There’s truly no bad time to update your family portraits near Boston. The only regret most families have is not finding the time to do them sooner. Every season offers something special:
Fall: One of the most popular times for North Shore family photos, thanks to the beautiful New England foliage. It’s the busiest season for most family photographers near Boston, so book early!

Summer: Think beach! I love capturing beach family photography in late spring or early fall when the beaches are quieter and more comfortable. Check out my blog for what to wear for beach family photos.
Spring: Cherry blossoms and flowering trees are fleeting but stunning. If we time it right, spring sessions outdoors can be a dream. Of course, the studio is always a beautiful option as well.
