Ideas for Newborn Photos with Parents and Family :: North of Boston Photographer
The thing that I love about newborn portraits is that while we are celebrating the new arrival, that’s not all we are celebrating. With newborn photos we are also celebrating their family and their parents and how much has changed. Which is why I think it’s so important to get family portraits taken with the new baby. Some parents opt to only have portraits taken of their baby. But for those who are looking for a full session with family and parent pictures included, I am always down for that option. As a mom myself I know how absolutely exhausting those early days are. And that the idea of making yourself presentable when your newborn is only a few days or weeks old can seem absolutely impossible. But trust me, you’ll love having those photos to look back on.
Whether your new arrival is your first baby or simply joining the pack. I love starting a newborn photos session with parents and family included. That helps everyone involved feel comfortable in the studio. And once those photos are taken, parents are free to sit and relax (and even nap!) while their little one is the star of the show. Older siblings often leave with a parent, grandparent, or other family member so that they don’t have to sit in the studio for the full session.
