Inspiration from Miss S’s Newborn Baby Girl Portrait Session :: North Andover MA Photographer
If you have a brand new baby girl, or are expecting, this session is the newborn portrait session to check out for all the inspiration. Baby Girl S and her parents came to my studio from neighboring North Andover MA to celebrate their new arrival with pictures. And this session really does have a little of everything. Which is why it is such a great example to use for inspiration. There are so many different poses, some using props and some without. And on the topic of props, this is also a great example of how props and accessories can add to a gallery. There is variety, some simple and neutral photos, some fun color options, and some cool props. Something for everyone!
Choosing a Style for Newborn Photos
One of the things that I love about this newborn baby girl session is the amount of variety. And not just in the props and accessories. But in the overall vibe or aesthetic of the portraits. Some of them are very modern, while others have a very vintage feel to them. Some are simplistic and minimalist while others are full of props and accessories. I also love the variety in the poses. The ones where Miss S is on her front, bum in the air, is a very classic newborn pose that you see a lot. The same can be said for the ones where she has her chin propped on her hands or arms. One that isn’t done as often (in part because it requires one very asleep newborn!) is the one where Miss S is laying on her back, with her arms up. I love how these turned out, and I love that even with that one pose there is variety. Depending on the hat, blanket, and additional accessories they all have a very different look. This is just another reason why this session in particular is great inspiration for baby girl newborn portrait sessions.
