Mr. F’s Newborn Baby Boy Photography Session and Poses :: Medford MA Photographer

Mr. F and his family came to my studio from nearby Medford MA for his newborn baby boy photography session. Along for the fun was his big brother, Mr. L. Big bro was three years old at the time which is such a fun age. Mom and dad wanted a good mix of family, sibling, and solo newborn photos. We started off with family portraits to get everyone comfortable. One of the photos they specifically mentioned in their pre-session questionnaire was the black and white one down below of baby in daddy’s hands. This is one of my favorite poses to do for newborn photos. Not only is it really adorable. But it’s also such a great way to showcase how tiny your baby is. When they start getting bigger you’ll love having that photo to look back on!

Including Siblings in Newborn Portraits

For sibling photos we were able to do a few different looks and poses. One was the traditional pose where newborn baby boy is safe and cozy inside of a prop–in this case this super adorable woven basket. The older sibling then sits behind them. This is a great option when the older sibling is a toddler or otherwise unable to hold their sibling. The other sibling photo you can see down below is one I’ve done a few times and I love it every time I do. Mr. F laying on the floor with train tracks in the shape of a heart around him. This is a great option for older siblings who are less inclined to sit still. It lets them be distracted by the train while also getting a truly precious portrait–a win all around!
