Mr. Z is one! And to celebrate his first birthday, he came to my studio for a super fun cake smash. This cake smash was all about airplanes. I loved the sweet little pilot hat that Mr. Z wore. Some airplanes and a globe sat behind him. Fluffy cotton made clouds and blue balloons added that sky look. And of course there was the cake–blue with white clouds and a bright red airplane. I’ve seen so many great ideas for cake smash photos, and this airplane one was easy and adorable.

Before we got down to the cake smash, I took family photos, and some really great sibling shots of Mr. Z and his big brother Mr. M. I first met this family for mom’s maternity session with big brother! Then I photographed his newborn, spaceship cake smash, and 3 year photos. I caught up with them at the beach for a really stunning beach maternity session when mom was expecting Mr. Z. Then saw them again when he was 6 months. And then there was this session! I am always so, so grateful when clients trust me to capture all of these special memories!
