Miss C’s Newborn Portraits :: Waltham Photographer

I had previously photographed this couple outdoors for their maternity photos. So it was so special when they came to my studio from Waltham for Miss C’s newborn portraits. Before any session I send parents a questionnaire to fill out. This asks about everything from who will be present during the session, to color schemes that parents want to include. In Miss C’s questionnaire, I just loved mom’s answer to one of the questions so much I had to share. I always ask “Why have you decided to get newborn portraits of your baby?”. Mom said: “We’d love to be able to remember her in his fleeting, squishy, adorable newborn state and allow her to see herself as a very tiny baby as she grows”. I LOVE this answer so much.
Another fun thing about the questionnaire and this session is that mom specifically mentioned wanting pale yellow included in these photos because both mom and grandma had baby photos where they were wearing pale yellow dresses and mom wanted to continue the tradition. I think this is such a sweet idea–and I love how sunshiney and happy Miss C looks in the yellow swaddle!
