Boston Moms Frontline Hero Family Photos :: Hanson MA Photographer
Let me set the scene a little bit. It was May of 2020. The pandemic was raging. Because of this, no one was sure what was going to happen or what was coming next. Hospitals were overrun with patients. We all remember what it was like. BostonMoms.com was on a mission to thank one deserving Super Mom on the Frontlines. There were nominations and voting. And Boston Moms chose one Super Mom Frontline Hero to receive an incredible prize package, including a family photos session from yours truly. I was honored to be included in this amazing prize package. There was also dinner from Perfect Strangers in Boston and gifts from other sponsors such as Flock Boston, Table and Tulip, Rustic Marlin, Interlocks Salon and Spa, and McCrea’s Candies.
I happily and gratefully photographed this Super Mom and her family. I met up with her, and her whole family which included three super kiddos. It was a cloudy, rainy day, but full of that beautiful fall color. It was one of the last days of fall 2020 that had all of that beautiful fall foliage, which made it extra special to spend it with this family. In the past two years many things improved. But these frontline workers are still proving daily that they are super heroes! Below I have included Katie’s original nomination bio for this wonderful award.
Why is Katie a Super Mom on the Front Lines?
Katie’s unit at Boston Medical Center is 100% COVID-19 patients. She was scared. Her family was scared. Yet every day she shows up with strength and grace. She sacrifices snuggles and hugs with her children. She sleeps apart from her family. And she shares intimate FaceTime calls with complete strangers because that is the only way her patients’ loved ones can say one last goodbye. This is her new norm. She is a HERO!
