Mr. E’s Newborn Photos :: Amesbury Photographer

Before any session I send parents a questionnaire that’s all about styling. This covers everything from desired color schemes to must have props. This questionnaire is a great starting point. Not just for me to get a good feel of what parents are looking for. But it’s also a great way for parents to start really considering what their ideal style would be. For some parents that means keeping it super simple and neutral. And other parents prefer to include personal touches and themes. There is no wrong answer when it comes to Amesbury area newborn photos!

Including a Sports Theme in Your Newborn Pictures

For this Amesbury MA family, there were two specific themes they had in mind for Mr. E’s newborn photos. One was a nautical theme. And the other was a sports theme. Both of these themes are perfect for newborn photos. And they are both themes that I have incorporated into sessions many times in the past which meant I had the props already! The little boat and oars is a fan favorite in the studio, and it’s a definite favorite of mine as well. When it came to a sports theme we stuck with some classic, timeless shots of Mr. E with some baseballs and a bat. And then for another set up we switched out the baseball props for a football! I love that these portraits still honor dad’s love of sports. But that the portraits also remain classic and timeless. This is the perfect way to incorporate a sports theme into your newborn photos!
