Miss S’s Newborn Portraits :: Billerica Newborn Photographer
Miss S and her parents came to my studio from Billerica for her newborn portraits. I had previously photographed her sweet mom and dad for mom’s maternity portraits. Getting to meet this little lady after “meeting” her while she was in her mama’s belly was so special. Being a Billerica-area maternity and newborn photographer is easily the best job there is. And sessions like these are proof of that. I have since seen Miss S again for her seven month photos and I can confirm she is still just as adorable as she was when I first met her!

Inspiration From These Newborn Photos
Prior to any session I send a questionnaire full of questions about styling, poses, desired props, and everything else that can help me prepare for a portrait session. This can help me get everything ready before a session and save time. It also helps me to make the session itself as easy and stress-free as possible for parents. As a mom myself, I know how difficult it can be to get out of the house in those early days with a new baby. My goal as a Billerica newborn photographer is to help in any way that I can. You can read more about what to expect in your newborn session here.
Newborn portraits like these are beautiful keepsakes for parents to have to remember this special time in their lives. But they are also a great keepsake for your baby to have as they grow older. This is why I love making these portraits as personal as possible for parents. In this case mama brought along a few different sentimental objects to include in their Billerica newborn portraits. Not only did she bring a teddy bear and other small items to place around Miss S for photos. She also had a custom robe, shirt and swaddle set for the whole family made. I photographed mom and dad in the matching shirt and robe during mom’s pregnancy photos. And they made an appearance again during these photos.
Another fun thing mom included in these photos can be seen in the portrait below of Miss S with the angel wings. The headband and socks that Miss S is wearing are actually made from mom’s wedding gown! I’ve had parents include sashes from wedding gowns, wedding bands, and veils in newborn portraits. And every single time I am amazed by the creativity and beauty of these objects.
