Mr. I’s Newborn Portraits :: Methuen Photographer
In this post I am going to introduce you to sweet Mr. I who came to my studio from Methuen MA with his family for his newborn portraits. One of my favorite things about newborn photography is getting to capture all of the joy and love that a family has for their new arrival. This is extra special when there is an older sibling involved. Mr. I’s big sis was not quite two years old during these portraits. I know that these siblings will be the best of friends when they get older and I am sure they will love having these photos as keepsakes. And of course, having professional photos taken of the family of four is so special for the whole family as well.
During a newborn portrait session like this Methuen session, I have certain poses that I love. And these poses are super popular with parents, too. It’s not always possible for me to capture all of my favorite poses during a single session since your baby is the real boss. But I always try to get any that I can. Styling Inspiration from these New Baby Photos
For this session mama had a clear idea of the color scheme that she was looking for. In planning prior to the session she mentioned wanting “navy blue, oatmeal, soft greys, creams, whites” for these Methuen newborn portraits. I love these colors for a baby boy because they are classic, clean, and timeless.
I did not photograph big sister for her Methuen newborn portraits. But mom sent me along some of her favorite portraits from that session so that I could get an idea for the style of the photos. It’s definitely not necessary for two different sessions to be cohesive. But I do think it’s something to consider prior to a session. Having a nice flow between different sessions makes crafting a wall gallery much easier.
