Mr. A’s Newborn Photos from Rowley MA

I was so excited when Mr. A came to my studio from nearby Rowley MA for his newborn photos with his family. I had photographed both of his older sisters since the biggest was a newborn! Getting the chance to meet all three of these siblings was such a joy. I am always so grateful when parents return to me with their second (and third, and so on…) child. Not only do I love getting the chance to see these tiny babies I once photographed become big siblings, because I definitely do. But getting to capture these moments, and the bonds between siblings, is such a privilege for me.

For Mr. A’s newborn photos, it was all about neutrals and all about blue. I used a lot of grays, blues and whites. I especially love how the white on white photo turned out. There’s something so clean and simple about it that I find stunning. Both big sisters were also in full white dresses. These are actually dresses that I have in the studio. I have a whole assortment of wraps, hats, and accessories for newborns. But I also have clothing options for bigger kids. In this case, the white dresses were the perfect choice. I love how the blue of Mr. A’s wrap really pops against the white of his sisters’ dresses. For classic children’s clothing I recommend Janie and Jack or Gap.

When there are older siblings involved, parents can get a little overwhelmed. But my assistant and I are more than happy to act like fools if it means getting the bigger kids to smile. In this case, both girls were happy to snuggle and pose with their baby brother. There might have been a little bribing with snacks at times, but sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do when it comes to toddlers!
