Lowell MA Baby Photographer :: 6 Week Old N
Sweet Mr. N came to my studio from Lowell MA for his new baby photos when he was 6 weeks old. His mama had been in the studio (and was just on the blog!) for her maternity photos. For her maternity photos, Mr. N’s daddy came along for the ride. He couldn’t make it for these photos, but Mr. N’s auntie came along instead. You can see photos of Auntie and nephew down below. Here’s a fun fact: there is the same exact age difference between mama and her little sister, as there is between Auntie and baby N! And judging by his smile when Auntie’s holding him, I think there is definitely a special connection between these two.

The Difference between Newborn and 6 Weeks Old when it comes to photos
A lot of the time, we think that all young infants are about the same as newborns. And this actually isn’t true. There are a lot of changes that occur in the first six weeks. If you find yourself with a slightly older than newborn baby, don’t panic! As Mr. N shows us down below, we can still capture some absolutely precious photos of your sweet baby.
For much of this Lowell baby photo session, Mr. N was snuggly and sleepy. This meant that I was able to capture some of those typical newborn-esque sleeping baby photos. And while it might not be the same as the iconic tushy in the air, we still got some baby bum in the photos of mama holding Mr. N. One of the biggest differences between a newborn portrait session and six weeks is the outfits! For the most part baby is swaddled during their newborn photos, so parents don’t have to worry about clothes. Most 6 week old babies don’t tolerate the swaddling, which means they get to wear super stylish outfits like this cool dude. There are few things cuter than baby clothes. Some of our favorite brands for babies and children are Hope and Henry and Cat & Jack from Target!
