Newborn Baby Pics Boston :: Miss M
Miss M and her extended family came to my studio in Andover MA from nearby Boston for her newborn baby pictures. She came with her mom and dad, big sister, and even her grandmother and aunt! Miss M was such a sweet little baby, and I’m honestly still swooning over those cheeks. What is cuter than chubby new baby cheeks? If you can think of anything, let me know. Miss M’s big sister also totally rocked this session. She was adorable with her new baby sister, giving her kisses and cuddles. And when it came time to take family portraits, she gave sweet smiles. You can tell these two are going to be the best of friends!
The styling choices for this session were lovely. There were tons of neutral colors. Miss M and her big sister were both in stark white during the family photos, which popped against the soft and subtle pastel tones that mom, dad, and their grandmother we wearing. For the shots of Miss M alone, and the ones with just the two sisters, there were pops of colors added in. The soft pinks we used to wrap or accessorize Miss M matched big sister’s floral headband. And the light baby blue knit wrap and headband matched big sister’s floral dress. All combinations made for perfect matches.
Including Family Members in Newborn Photos
We love when parents bring family members along for the portrait fun. Whether this means older siblings, or grandparents, or aunties, we love getting to capture the love of family. See this post for more tips on getting the most out of your newborn photography session. One of our “tips” is deciding whether or not you want to bring along reinforcements. This is definitely not something that anyone needs to do. We always have at least two sets of hands (myself and my assistant) to help out during a session. But for some, having close family around can help keep everyone (mom and dad included) calm and happy. If this is the case, please bring family or close friends along with you. In this case we were even able to take a few photos with the added hands which makes it even more special!
