Boston Maternity Photographer
This sweet family came to my Andover MA studio from Boston for their maternity photo session with baby number two. Pregnancy is such an exciting, and beautiful time for new parents. Maternity photos are so special, and a great way to celebrate this new little baby joining the family. This was the second time that I had photographed this mama-to-be. Check out her baby bump photos from her pregnancy with her first baby boy, and then scroll down to see how adorable that little man is now! And you can see his cake smash session here, too.
Since I had photographed this mama before, I had an idea of what her style was. These photos were taken in October, so we stuck to autumn colors. Big brother’s plaid shirt matched mom and dad perfectly, while also adding pops of lighter blues and purples. But for the photos of mama on her own, we went full glam. In the studio I have an assortment of maternity gowns in various colors, meaning that there really is something for everyone. This white maternity gown with attached cape is one of my favorites.
Including Older Siblings in Maternity Portraits
This isn’t just a fun and exciting time for the new parents, but also for the soon-to-be big sibling. Whenever a parent asks if they should include older siblings in their maternity photos, my answer is always yes! Not only does including older siblings in the photos make for extra meaningful keepsakes, but they also help the older sibling to feel included in the joy and excitement.
