This sweet baby girl came to my studio in Andover MA from nearby Needham MA for her newborn photos. I had photographed this little lady’s older sister when she was a brand new baby. Getting to meet the little siblings of kiddos I’ve photographed in the past is always something I cherish. I also really love getting to compare and contrast these sessions from that of their older siblings. Styling Ideas for Newborn Photography Sessions

For these newborn photos, mom wanted to include shades of green. I absolutely love the way this sage green knit blanket and hat look. Baby T was born in April, so these springy green tones are a great choice. Add in the little touches of floral in the headbands, and you have springtime perfection. For the rest of the photos, the colors were kept very neutral. Cream and gray are two of my most utilized colors during newborn sessions. And if you were wondering why, these photos are a great example of why these shades are so widely requested for these portraits. Baby really pops against the cream or gray, while still feeling warm and cozy. Plus, these colors go with virtually any decor.
