Boston Gender Reveal Photos
This family from Boston came to my studio for an extra special reason. And it was actually a first for me to photograph this type of session. They wanted me to take their gender reveal professional photos! I myself actually did three gender reveals (!) for my lady babies. Chances are if you’ve been on social media for a while, you’ve seen gender reveal craze. Getting the opportunity to be involved in documenting one was definitely a lot of fun. But it was also slightly nerve-wracking. The family wanted to shoot confetti canons (yes please). But the older sister did not know the gender and was finding out for the first time as the confetti was popping. What if something went wrong? Thankfully, it all went perfectly!
We began with some sweet family portraits of mom, dad, big sis, and that beautiful baby bump. We even had some practice shots of big sister with the confetti poppers with multiple colors. And let me just say, big sis is a perfect little model. I don’t want to give any spoilers, so scroll down to see if this family had a little miss or a little mister!

It’s a small detail, but I love that mama is wearing a blue dress with pink flowers. This is such a great idea not only for gender reveal photos, but for maternity photos in general. If you’re waiting until the hospital room to be surprised, this is a great styling choice for your maternity photos!
