Superhero Child Photos :: Andover MA
My job is always fun, exciting, and rewarding, but some days are definitely a little extra fun. And this sessions is certainly one of them. When this mama told me what she was thinking for these photos, I was beyond excited. And this was for a couple of reasons. For one thing, I had actually gone to high school with this mama! Part of me feels super old when I think about the fact that high school was so long ago (ha!) but also how cool is it that THIS gets to be my grown up job?! But the most exciting part of this session was definitely getting to incorporate something as fun as superheroes into the portraits. Nothing says fun quite like child portraits and these Andover superhero child photos were beyond fun. It was a challenge, but one I was ready for. Maybe this is my superpower!
When this family came to my Andover, MA photography studio, I was all set for their superhero fun. But don’t worry, we made sure we captured some photos without the superhero garb. Even Clark Kent and Diana Prince had to have a photo shoot sometimes!
Incorporating Themes Into Your Child’s Photo Session
Typically, newborn photos are kept neutral or light colors. By the first birthday the sets get more colorful and fun. By the time your little one reaches the toddler and kid stage–whatever you want goes! Themes are a great idea for photo sessions. What better way is there to celebrate your child than to incorporate a book, tv show, or movie that they love? In this case, it was all about superheroes. This nighttime city backdrop definitely added to the fun, but the costumes and the poses really sealed the deal. These two littles nailed their superhero poses. Each of these photos makes me smile but I have to say, the hand-on-hips Wonder Woman pose is one of my favorites. This is one fierce and sassy little lady!
