Pregnancy Portraits Boston MA :: Mama-to-be E

Maternity photos will always be some of my favorites. There’s so much joy, love, and hope for the future during pregnancy. And I believe all of that can be seen in maternity portraits. This mom-to-be came to my studio from Boston for her pregnancy portraits. I was able to see her again once her little bundle was born. I love being able to “meet” babies in the belly first and then see them again as teeny babies.

Styling Inspiration for Maternity Photos

Different mamas have different ideas for how they want to look during their maternity photos. I always want each mom-to-be to look exactly how she dreams. When it comes to maternity, my main goals are to make mom look, and feel, beautiful, comfortable, and happy. Comfort and happiness always make a photo better.

Because each mama that comes into the studio has a different vision, I have a huge assortment of maternity gowns, tutus, and accessories (seriously a huge assortment. It’s been said I might have an Etsy addiction). For this mama, we went glam. The white form fitting dress has a cape that is perfect for flying. And the contrast of the white dress against the dark wood backdrop creates the perfect amount of drama. Add in a floral headband and it makes for timeless photos with a touch of glam. This white dress is from Sew Trendy Accessories and is definitely a popular one in my collection!

Another popular maternity gown is the black fly away one. This one is great because it can fly, and it can also show off that belly–and after all, the belly is the star of the show! Mom brought along this red dress, and it was the perfect way to finish out the session. The pop of color is gorgeous on her and made for a diverse gallery of photos.
