Professional New Baby Photos :: Little Guy J

Mr. J and his family were in my studio for his newborn portraits. I love looking at these new baby photos because there is a little bit of everything. Perfectly coordinated family portraits, a few sibling shots, sleepy baby, bright eyes, and even a newborn smile! I’d call that a successful session.

Mr. J wasn’t as sleepy throughout the session, but this is a great example of what happens when babies just don’t want to sleep. The answer is: great photos! A good reminder not to panic if your little one won’t stay sleeping throughout their session.

Including Big Siblings In Newborn Sessions

One of the questions I get asked the most is whether or not to include big siblings in newborn sessions. And my answer is always yes. Not only am I able to get some great shots of the new siblings, photos that make great keepsakes, but this is also a great way to make big sibling feel included. In this case, Mr. J’s big sister smiled her way through family portraits, posed with her new baby brother, and even got to show off her pretty purple dress.
