One Year Old Cake Smash and Portrait Photos Boston :: 1 Year Old E
I had first met Miss E for her six month photos. We met up for that session at the Boston Public Gardens, which made for some really pretty photos. This time we were in my studio, but the photos were just as pretty! Miss E has some seriously gorgeous eyes!
We started off with some family portraits, and Miss E even got a few kisses from mom and dad. Next came some portraits of Miss E on her own. Sometimes when little ones aren’t having a ton of fun, we break out the blocks. And I love the way this black and white photo of Miss E playing with the blocks turned out. My other go-to move for smiley one year olds is bubbles! I absolutely love how they look in photos, and littles typically love playing with them. This is what we call a win-win!
Cake Smash Styling Ideas
For the cake smash portion of the session, we went with pink and gold. This is a popular color combination for cake smash photos, and it’s easy to see why. Cake smash sessions deserve to be fun, bright, and colorful, and these colors definitely fit the bill!
Cake smash sessions tend to be pretty hilarious. A lot of the time these littles haven’t had sugar yet, so sometimes they’re less than enthusiastic. Usually the balloons are more exciting than the cake! But even when they’re not interested in eating any of the cake, I still manage to grab some adorable (and maybe even hysterical) photos.
