Andover Newborn Photographer :: Mr. A
Mr. A came to my Andover MA studio for his newborn portraits and brought along his mama, daddy, and big brother. I’ve been photographing this family since big brother was still in his mama’s belly! I saw him for his newborn and first year photos as well. This made meeting the newest addition to the family extra exciting for me. Whenever families allow me to capture exciting milestones, I feel incredibly honored.
This family was just in my studio again recently for Mr. A’s cake smash! Looking at these photos from when he was just a tiny baby makes me realize (for about the thousandth time) how fast time flies.
When it comes to newborn portraits, there are certain poses or shots that I strive to capture during sessions. Some of these are as simple as a photo of baby in their mama’s or daddy’s arms. Some of them are specific poses (did you know some of them even have names?! It’s true!) Check out this blog post where I talk about some of my must have newborn photos.
Including Older Sibling in these Andover Newborn Photos
A common question that I’m asked by parents who are adding a new member to the family is whether or not to include older siblings in the session. This is a decision that only the family can make, but I always encourage it. And Baby A’s big brother is a great example of how awesome these portraits can turn out. Big brother was such a ham throughout the session. He should seriously be a model!
Including an older sibling can definitely be tricky, especially depending on the age difference. Which is why I totally understand why some parents choose not to bring big brother or sister along for the newborn session. And I don’t blame them at all for wanting to have the focus entirely on the newest member of the family. But if getting a photo of the siblings together is something that you want, then please don’t hesitate to bring them along for the fun. This is a great way to let big sibling feel included, and to make them even more excited for their new sibling!

After Your Newborn Photo Session
Have you ever wished there was an easier way to choose which photos to hang on your walls? Maybe even a way you could see what they would look like without having to commit to purchasing them? Well, good news. You can! My goal is to make sure that my clients are receiving the photos and the products of their dreams. And this means helping you every step of the way, from pre-planning to post-session product planning. I offer complementary in person viewing sessions. I can project your photos onto my wall so that you’re seeing them large and in high resolution. Then, I can help you create the custom albums or wall art. When it comes to wall art, that means creating mock-ups of your walls using your artwork. You can see an example of one here.
