Melrose MA New Baby Photos :: Mr. L

Mr. L and his family came to visit my studio from Melrose MA. He brought along his big sister who I had also photographed as a newborn! Mr. L was a little rockstar, sleeping through all the various poses and set changes. He did give us a little peek of his eyes in the photo of his big sister giving him a smooch. Great timing, Mr. L!

Mr. L was nice enough to share the spotlight with his big sis. Since it was her 3rd birthday, I took some solo shots of her. Three is a great age to photograph. They have such huge personalities in their little bodies, which makes it so much fun to try and capture those personalities. This little lady’s personality is definitely able to shine through in these portraits. At the end of the post is a storyboard created from big sister’s portraits. Seriously, how cute is she? How To Style A Session

For this session, it wasn’t entirely about Mr. L. His big sister was also included in the photos, and had her own portraits taken as well. Colors were kept super simple and neutral. Big sister wore a white top and navy pants. The navy blue swaddle and white blanket on Mr. L matched perfectly. Navy and white are great neutrals. It’s such a timeless and classic color combination. You can never go wrong with the classics!

Mom and dad also wore white tops. With Mr. L swaddled in navy for the family portraits, this created a perfect contrast. The dark blue stood out against the white shirts. And big sister’s navy headband also matched wonderfully. The end product was clean and crisp.
