Christmas Portraits North of Boston
First things first, we need to talk about how cute this little guy is. I can’t stand it. I can’t decide if the elf hat outfit or the plaid outfit is my favorite. I’m obsessed with both of them. Another thing I’m obsessed with this year is matching pajamas–especially when the whole family gets in on it. There are so few times when mom and dad can get away with pajamas, and Christmas portraits is definitely one of them!
Of course, families don’t have to limit themselves to only wearing matching pajamas. Family number three is a great example of how to match. All three are wearing the same red and black buffalo plaid. Perfect for Christmas. While I love my winter woodland backdrop, sometimes the rustic dark wood backdrop makes a cozier setting, especially for the family shots.
And rounding out the post are two siblings that I have known since big brother was a newborn! One of my favorite things about these sessions is getting the chance to see families that I’ve been photographing for years. I like to call them “my” families, and it’s always so much fun to see how much they’ve grown!
Christmas Mini Sessions
Every year my Christmas mini sessions fill up fast. Which isn’t surprising since Christmas is such a great time for portraits. Some families choose to focus on only the kiddos, while others take advantage of these sessions to get the whole family involved. Either way, the mini sessions are a less stressful way to get festive holiday photos. The session only lasts 15-20 minutes, which makes it a great amount of time for busy families and restless kids. But don’t fret, there’s still enough time for some great shots!
