Christmas Portraits With Santa in Boston
Santa Claus is, for obvious reasons, one of the best parts about Christmas. Which is why I’m always so happy that I get to have Santa in my studio every year for mini sessions. Since Santa is so busy this time of year, he’s only able to make it for one weekend which means the spots are extremely limited and every year they sell out fast.

The Magic of Christmas
We talk about the magic of Christmas and the magic of Santa a lot. But that’s because there is truly something so magical about Christmas.
Two years ago I met the first family featured in today’s post. They brought the absolute best letters to Santa. This past year they brought letters again, something that I definitely encourage. Barely two weeks passed after their Santa session when I learned that the youngest, 5 year-old brother was diagnosed with Leukemia and he had already begun treatment at Boston Children’s Hospital. He would end up staying for well over a month.
The family is from Australia and had planned to go back for the holidays. Santa was all prepped to send the boys their presents to Oz. But this news meant that they would have to stay in Boston for the holidays. Mom wrote to me hoping to get a Santa photo printed for his hospital room to help cheer him up. I will admit I was in tears as I rush ordered a couple of prints to get them as fast as possible (and that I’m in tears as I write this). The photo was the one of the boys looking up and pointing at the magic stars. The magic of Santa.
While their journey is far from over, giant steps have been taken towards a happy and healthy future. Please keep this family in your thoughts and prayers.
On September 23rd this family walked in the Boston Marathon Jimmy Fund Walk. While the walk has already happened, the Jimmy Fund is constantly doing work towards helping children and the fight against cancer and is always a worthy cause for those looking to donate time or money during the holidays.
