Reading, MA Newborn Photography :: Baby M
Newborn baby Miss M came to my studio with her parents from Reading, MA for her newborn portrait shoot. Getting the chance to meet brand new babies is definitely one of the highlights of my job. And, of course, getting to meet their parents is pretty great, too. I started out the session with some portraits of the parents with their new arrival. I do this for a few reasons, but the main reason is because it allows not only the baby to feel safe and comfortable, but it helps to ease the parents into the session as well. Depending on when baby last ate and napped, sometimes they aren’t quite ready for the fully asleep newborn photos when they first get out of the car, so this is a good way to ease them into the session. And sometimes, I get a little unicorn sighting in the form of a newborn smile. In this case, Miss M gave a little smile that matched her mama’s!

Styling for this Reading MA Newborn Photo Session
For this newborn session, we used pink. Mom and dad both wore a light gray, which is a perfect choice. Gray is a great neutral, it’s soft, and it goes with basically every color. Most of the time parents don’t want to be the star of the show when in photos with their children. A color like this light gray is therefore a perfect choice. Sometimes stark white can come across as too bright, so this color which is just a few shades off of white is perfect. And for Miss M, the light pink swaddle in the family portraits is perfect and she really pops in the family portraits. But the real fashion choice is the floral swaddle and matching bow in the first photo that mama brought. It’s so pretty, and works perfectly against the white fur around it.

Creating A Wall Gallery At Home
Wall galleries are extremely popular right now. If you scroll through home decor blogs or Pinterest chances are you’ll see numerous options. Many people think that they aren’t possible to achieve in their homes. But I’m here to tell you they definitely are–and I can help! Thanks to the magic of technology, I can show you how your photos will look as a wall gallery in your home. You send me a photo of the wall (or walls) you’re looking to decorate and I can digitally add your photos as framed art or canvases. This can really help get an idea of what looks good in your space, especially when it comes to what sizes work.
