Pregnancy Portraits in the Merrimack Valley, MA

I met up with this mama for her pregnancy portraits outdoors in Merrimack Valley. Is it too early to say I want fall to come? I guess I’ll at least wait for summer to arrive first! This mama-to-be from the Merrimack Valley wanted a fall themed maternity session, and I was up to the task. Even thought it wasn’t quite fall yet, I was able to make that happen! What can I say? I move mountains for my clients!

Pregnancy is such an exciting time in a woman’s life and it deserves to be celebrated and remembered. I’m always so grateful that I’m able to help parents commemorate this special time. To me, it’s also a magical time, and I think this session captures a little bit of that magic.

Styling For This Merrimack Valley Maternity Session

For this session, mama had her heart set on using all the colors of fall. And I’m pretty sure we succeeded! The beautiful outdoor backdrop certainly helped to pull this off. But so did a little bit of Photoshop magic and her attire. Mama’s dark burgundy shirt and this great tutu (which I have available for expecting mama’s in my studio!) were perfect against the orange backdrop. It screams autumn. Another great fall color is purple, and this purple fly away dress is another great choice. I love the movement this dress allows in photos. Between this dress and the tutu, there is such a whimsical quality to this session, which I think works amazingly with the bright, fiery colors of fall.
