I met up with this sweet Boxford family for family portraits and their baby girl’s 3 month baby photos. I first met this family from Boxford for their second baby girl’s newborn portraits. Mom wanted to have a full year of milestone sessions for baby girl so I got to see them again for her three month portraits (and spoiler alert: I’ve already seen them for her six month photos and nine month portraits as well!). For this family portrait session, Baby R was three months old which is always a fun age to photograph. They’re still little babies, but getting old enough that I’m able to capture a little bit of that growing personality. And her big sister was a great model and had such a beautiful smile!

When taking family portraits outside, it’s inevitable that there are going to be more variables to figure out than in my studio where I have complete control of everything. But it is totally worth it and I absolutely love outdoor family portraits. Between the green grass, the amazing tee-pee, and even the texture of the paving stones, there were so many different backdrops that worked perfectly. The two little ladies of the family matched perfectly. First in their red, white, and blue dresses, and then after a quick outfit change to matching pink tutus.
