Winchester Newborn Photography Studio :: Baby I
Sweet Miss I and her family came to my studio from Winchester for her newborn portraits. And she was such a perfect, cuddly little model. Her big brother was able to get in on the action, too. He gave her so many kisses. One of my favorite shots from the session has to be big brother’s huge smile while his baby sister sleepily smirks. That was my “double rainbow” moment. I just couldn’t get over it! That portrait is forever referred to as “double rainbow” now! Another favorite is when big brother gives her a big kiss on the cheek. Or maybe it’s when he cuddles her. Or maybe I just cannot decide because these two are precious in every shot!
About this Session
First of all, I love baby blue for a little girl. It is a little bit unexpected but so beautiful and soft. For Miss I’s newborn session I used mainly neutrals for a clean and natural look. But I made sure to get subtle and simple pops of color. Both baby blue and soft pink were used. I also used one of my favorite colors for a newborn session, deep purple. I used a few different props with sleepy Miss I and each one adds a different feel to the portrait. The small white bed adds a whimsical touch. The wooden box is more rustic. Props are the perfect way to add variety to a session.
