Mama Bear Effect :: North Andover Family Portraits

Last spring I held mini sessions to raise money and awareness for a charity called The Mama Bear Effect. These families visited my studio in Andover MA for family portraits. They were supposed to be outside, but unfortunately it rained. Check out this blog post to see the outdoor family portraits at Smolak Farms in North Andover.

Becoming a parent is a terrifying experience in a lot of ways. Not the least of which is having to worry about sexual predators. This subject is a very difficult one. In fact, I get a pit in my stomach whenever I think about it. It makes me want to literally shield my eyes and look away. But I can’t. WE can’t. We need to see it and we need to fight it. The Mama Bear Effect is an organization doing just that.

About these North Andover Family Portraits

These family portrait sessions were supposed to take place outside but as it sometimes does, it rained. Boo! Some families rescheduled and a couple came to the studio. It all works out. Like little miss C in yellow and her perfect curls was an amazing little model as always, and so was her pretty mama. I especially love the picture of her holding her mama’s hand.

Both of these sweet families have been in my studio other times. Miss C met our favorite bunny Bun Bun. And down below our second family came back to the studio for their newborn and one year photos for baby number 2. They’ve also come to the studio for other mini sessions I offer. Mini sessions are a great way to grab just a few photos of your little one, or even a few family portraits.

Displaying Your Portraits

After any session, whether it’s a full session or a mini session, it’s time to choose what prints and products you’ll love. For those clients that prefer custom albums, I work step by step to create a design they are happy with. And for wall art, I am able to do something similar. Thanks to the magic of technology, I’m able to digitally add your own portraits to a photo of your wall. No more guessing how your portraits will look displayed on your wall, or what sizes work best in your space.
