Miss E’s Andover Cake Smash Photos

Happy birthday to the adorable little Miss E! I had the pleasure of meeting her and her parents a little before Christmas this past fall in my Andover studio for her cake smash photos. (So, yeah, I’m that behind in blog posts apparently). Mom wanted portraits of baby girl to remember her at one year old. As a Mom of now 4 year old twin girls, remembering them at age one is increasingly difficult. Enter: professional portraiture to the rescue!

Since this photo session, I have met Miss E’s baby sister, too! You can see Miss E as a big sister in her baby sister’s Boho newborn session.

Styling Inspiration From This One Year Photo Session

I love that Mom wanted to do a simple and clean cake smash. We used mint green as an accent color with balloons behind baby girl. But other than that, the set and her tutu was minimal and white. I think this type of clean set really lends itself to making the baby the star of the show. And a star she was! Sometimes all it takes is an adorable tutu and some balloons to make a cake smash perfect.

For any cake smash, I love a good theme. Even if that “theme” is just a color scheme. We love themes so much we even made a Cake Smash Theme bucket list!
