It took me a whole year but I finally got to capture a baby’s cake smash portraits in front of my favorite wooden rustic background. My heart basically explodes viewing these images! I’ve known this family for over a year. I first met them at their maternity session and got to see them a few times throughout the year. I always look forward to their sessions as they are just generally fantastic people to spend time with as well as having a gorgeous baby boy for me to photograph.

I knew fishing was in the family’s repertoire so we came up with their cake smash theme from there. Baby T was a bit hesitant to dive in to that fish cake but he did get the job done! First we gook a few portraits in overalls. Baby boy T in overalls might be my favorite ever. That is, until the cut off jeans for the cake smash came out!
