A Cozy Newborn Session by Andover, MA Photographer :: Firefighter Tribute, Snowman Magic & Three Generations of Love

Every once in a while, a newborn session walks into the studio and immediately fills the room with warmth. Recently I was looking through old sessions and was reminded that Baby N’s visit was exactly that kind of day. His family made the trip from Dorchester to my cozy Andover, MA newborn photography studio, ready to capture all the tiny details of their brand new baby boy. From thoughtful personal touches (like a firefighter helmet tribute!) to the sweetest holiday inspired setup, this Dorchester family newborn photography session had everything I love about newborn photography: connection, meaning, and a whole lot of snuggles. Getting to be an Andover MA newborn photographer really is the greatest job!

This session had a little bit of everything. Beautiful and heartfelt photos of Mr. N with each parent, newborn portraits with his grandmother, and some special and sentimental touches.

Firefighter Pride & Snowman Magic

One of the biggest highlights of Baby N’s Dorchester newborn photography session was his special portrait inside a firefighter’s helmet. It was a beautiful nod to an important piece of his family’s story. He looked perfectly peaceful nestled next to it, and it became an instant favorite. This is such a great idea for incorporating your favorite firefighter into your newborn photo session.

We also created a soft winter themed setup complete with a fluffy white backdrop and the cutest handmade snowman bonnet and scarf. The “snowman look” added such a whimsical touch and is sure to be a cherished holiday memory for years to come. This is such a fun way to celebrate the season inside a Boston area newborn photography studio.

Three Generations Together

A particularly touching part of the session was including Baby N’s grandmother. Her joy was unmistakable, and the images of her gently holding her grandson radiate so much love. We also captured a variety of sweet family poses. Such as mom, dad, and baby all wrapped up together in soft neutrals that photographed beautifully against the darker studio backdrop. Getting the chance to include grandparents like this sweet grandmother in newborn portraits is something that is always so special to me.

A Beautiful Beginning

Sessions like these remind me why I adore what I do. Baby N was calm, snuggly, and full of tiny expressions that told his brand new story. Paired with one very loving family, this Dorchester-meets-Andover newborn session turned into a gallery full of timeless moments.
