The Great Debate :: Black and White or Full Color for Maternity Portraits
Quick, you have to choose: black and white, or color portraits?? If you’re like me, that probably seems like an impossible choice. I love both!! I love black and white portraits. And also, I love full color portraits. Which could be seen as quite the conundrum when it comes to trying to decide on black and white vs full color maternity portraits. And I’m sure I’m not the only one who would be stuck trying to decide between the two. But the good news? You don’t have to choose! All of my galleries come with the full color AND the black and white version. No more having to choose just one. Because really, talk about an impossible decision. Both options have so many things to love about them.
The Great Dilemma–Black and White or Full Color
I think the session that I tend to gravitate towards the black and white version the most is maternity portraits. Whether it’s an in-studio or an outdoor portrait, there is something about the light, the shadows, the contrast of maternity portraits that works so well in black and white. Plus there is just an inherent drama and glamor to a black and white portrait that works beautifully with maternity portraits. But, the full color version is stunning as well. Especially when it comes to the colors of nature during outdoor portraits or the gorgeous maternity gowns. Down below I have some of my favorite examples of how both black and white and full color maternity portraits are gorgeous in their own way.
