Miss M’s Super Sweet Vintage Winnie the Pooh Cake Smash :: Billerica MA Photographer

I don’t like to generalize or make assumptions. But I think it’s safe to say that just about everyone has at least one experience with Winnie the Pooh from their childhood. It’s one of the most beloved stories of all time! Which is why it’s no surprise whatsoever when parents choose a Winnie the Pooh first birthday or cake smash. This one is hands down one of my favorites! Miss M came to my studio from Billerica to celebrate her first birthday with a cake smash mini session. And not just any cake smash, but a vintage Winnie the Pooh cake smash!

Miss M is the second daughter out of three for this family. I photographed big sister, Miss R for her newborn and cake smash. Then when Miss M was welcomed into the family I photographed her newborn photos. And most recently I had baby sister Miss B in the studio for newborn photos! Big sister Miss R had another great, subtle Disney theme for her cake smash: Boho Minnie Mouse Cake Smash.

Creating a Theme for Cake Smash Sessions

I love everything about this session. From the adorable dress Miss M is wearing with Winnie, Tigger, and the rest of his pals. Mom and dad brought along the wooden Winnie and Tigger figurines as well as the vintage books to incorporate into the set design. The honeycombs and golden bees worked perfectly for the honey loving bear. The color scheme mom described in the pre-session questionnaire was “Pale Yellow, Gold, Washed Red, Black” which is perfect for this theme. If you’re looking for a vintage Winnie the Pooh cake smash that isn’t too over the top, this is one to use as inspiration!
