Festive Studio Christmas Photos for Children and Families in Massachusetts
When you think of festive holiday pictures of your child and family, what words do you think of? For some it’s all about magic and whimsy. For others it’s all about timeless, classic, homey photos. No matter what your go-to festive holiday style, I have you covered. Every year I offer both mini sessions and full sessions before the holidays. These different options means that there is something for everyone. For parents who are looking for a very quick session where they are able to get a few updated holiday photos of their little ones, mini sessions are a great choice. For parents who are looking for more looks and outfits, or have waited all year for this one session, a full family portrait session is the way to go.
Different Styles of Festive Holiday Child and Family Photos
When it comes to Christmas and holiday photos, some parents choose to make it all about the little ones. Others want to take the opportunity to get updated family photos. During a full session especially there is also the option of some photos of the kids, and some of the family as a whole. Then it’s all about deciding on the style. Matching pajamas are always a win in my book. But there are also more formal options. Plaids, soft knits, and shades of red and green are always popular clothing options for these festive photos. Keep in mind that comfort is always key when it comes to any photo session!
During mini sessions I will have a festive set up ready to go. For full sessions we have more flexibility to play around with the set design, but I typically set something up ahead of time for these as well. Another option, especially for parents who are looking for something more whimsical, is a digital composite. Down below I have a few different digital backgrounds that I have used in the past. These include a vintage painting inspired Santa Claus, a fun sleigh and reindeer option, and the ever popular “snow” angel in flour.
