Miss M’s 15th Birthday Quinceañera Photos :: Lawrence MA Photographer
Miss M came from neighboring Lawrence MA to my studio to celebrate her 15th birthday with some quinceañera photos. This session was so much fun for so many reasons. For one thing, it was my first time taking quinceañera pictures which was fun in itself. One thing about my job that many people don’t realize is how often I am introduced and exposed to different cultures and traditions. I had heard of quinceañeras before, but getting the chance to help Miss M celebrate hers gave me an appreciation for the tradition that I don’t know if I would have had beforehand. Styling Ideas for Birthday Celebration Portraits
A quinceañera is a large party to celebrate a young girl turning 15 years old. It’s kind of similar to what a lot of us think of when we think of a sweet 16. There are many more customs and traditions that go into it, which I think is so cool. Miss M and her parents wanted these photos to commemorate the occasion. Which meant it was all about celebrating! I was so impressed by Miss M and how she knew exactly what she wanted. From her outfit choices, to the color scheme, to the backdrops. She had an image in her head of how she wanted her portraits to look.
The black, silver, and lilac color scheme was a great choice. Timeless, mature, but also gave us a ton of options. Adding in the glitter, confetti, and bubbles were a way to remember that while Miss M is growing up, she is still a kid. I’ve said it before–but bubbles are ALWAYS a good idea!
